  1. My favorite is the last one with the red damask walls and canopy bed. One little change – I would switch the ornate footboard with the headboard.

I also love the fish tank!

The headboard looks rather plain but I am wondering if the footboard is also plain on the inside (i,e, the side facing the headboard) and only ornate on the outside, facing away from the rest of the bed. It’s a puzzlement! :)

LOVE the fish tank! I once went with my friend to her dentist’s office and it had a saltwater tank with shrimp and crabs and things. AMAZING!! I could easily have spend the whole afternoon looking at the things in that tank. :)

    I’m in heaven!

  3. I liked the third one, and the next-to-last one. To go boldly black like that takes guts. We went burgundy on walls, and burgundy velvet ceiling to floor black out drapes, bedspread, and wall tapestry in the master bedroom. We could always change out to black textiles, but you it gets expensive! Love your blog!

I like the third one a lot, especially the way the black iron looks against the exposed brick. All it needs is a barbed-wire heart on the wall! :)
And yes, going all black is certainly daring and not for the faint of heart!
Thanks so much for your comments and, of course, your kind words!
